Enhancing the Cytocompatibility of Cobalt‐Iron Ferrite Nanoparticles Through Chemical Substitution and Surface Modification

Due to their potential in numerous interdisciplinary fields, such as drug delivery, hyperthermia, and magnetic resonance imaging, nanoparticles have attracted widespread attention. In this study, cobalt ferrite are synthesized with varying amounts of iron ions, cytocompatibility is evaluated before after surface modification amino-silane (AEPTMS). Characterization the performed using scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. addition, it observed that a slight reduction saturation magnetization coated materials. The cytotoxicity these materials MTT assay on fibroblast cells. This study focuses importance interface between nanoparticles, coating, interaction presents an innovative approach enhancing through chemical substitution AEPTMS. key findings demonstrate ion ratio significantly impacts cytotoxicity, AEPTMS coating found increase cell viability. These for biomedical applications, highlighting both composition applications.
